Middleburg, VA--Greenhill Winery and Vineyards, located at 23595 Winery Lane, off of Highway 50 in Middleburg, is officially opening on Friday, Aug. 30. Greenhill offers four wines in its beautifully designed tasting room, while providing a magnificent outdoor setting to enhance the enjoyment of its wine.
David Greenhill, the proprietor, states, “Our goal is to produce the finest wines possible, joining the ranks of other Virginia wineries to ‘bottle shock’ California – and the rest of the world – with our quality and artful passion for winemaking.”
The winery is initially offering four wines: a Bordeaux blend, named Philosophy; a Vidal Blanc, a Syrah, and an exciting Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine made of 100 percent Chardonnay. All the wines are fully made with 100 percent Virginia grapes.
Sébastien Marquet and Isabelle Truchon of Burgundy Style Consulting have spearheaded the formation of the winery, which is nestled against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge and Bull Run Mountain ranges, just a mile east of Middleburg. The 128 acre estate features 11 acres of vines in the Middleburg AVA, a tasting room, and a traditional stone manor, dating from the French and Indian War, which will serve as an exclusive tasting room for Greenhill Wine Club members.
Project manager, Isabelle Truchon, explains, “Greenhill Winery and Vineyards is all about experiencing the authentic... In essence, we provide a fusion of wine and nature, a testament to Virginia Wine Country.”
With an exciting line up of wines, along with a friendly and knowledgeable staff, Greenhill Winery is
committed to maximize the guest experience, one person at a time. For more information, please contact Isabelle Truchon by cell at 571-291-5988, or email at Isabelle@greenhillvineyards.com.
