MommyJuice Wines Partners with Family Giving Tree to Provide School Supplies to Children in Need

Date: 02/27/13

img 1MommyJuice Wines and Family Giving Tree announced today a partnership that will support Family Giving Tree’s mission to provide backpacks full of school supplies to children in need. Since 1995, Family Giving Tree has provided these to Bay Area children in low-income neighborhoods, sending them to school prepared to learn. The Back-to-School Drive targets local schools that have a high percentage of students that qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program. Last year’s drive assisted 21,000 Bay Area students.

“Family Giving Tree is dear to my heart and I am honored to support their efforts,” said Cheryl Murphy Durzy, mother of two and founder of MommyJuice Wines. “I remember how much fun it was to get new school supplies as a kid. I believe it is an important way to start off a brand new school year-- armed with new pencils and notebooks, and ready to learn."

MommyJuice Wines will donate a portion of the proceeds from their regional events to Family Giving
Tree. In addition, MommyJuice will promote donations to Family Giving Tree at the winery and online, as a way to get families involved in giving img 2back to their communities.

“We thank Cheryl and MommyJuice for their support in providing backpacks and school supplies to
the children who are most in need,” said Jennifer Cullenbine, executive director of Family Giving
Tree. “It’s great to have a brand made for moms, by a mom, contribute to our mission. We are
grateful.”
