Craft + Estate to Import Bodegas O. Fournier
Craft + Estate, the national import operation for Virginia?based The Vintner Group, today announces an agreement to exclusively represent Bodegas O. Fournier and their releases from Argentina, Chile and Spain in the United States.
O. Fournier is the only multinational winery group in which one of the wines from their three wineries
has won trophies for the best wine of their country (Alfa Crux 2001 for Argentina, Spiga 2004 for Spain and O. Fournier Maule 2009 for Chile.) In addition, O. Fournier wines have been included three times in the Top 100 Wines of the Year list from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast magazines. Alfa Spiga 2006 was selected fourth best wine in the world by Wine Enthusiast. Jancis Robinson has selected several wines from O. Fournier in her Top 60 Wines of the Year including Alfa Crux Malbec 2006, which was also selected best Argentine wine by the New York Times. Wine Advocate just selected-for the second year running-O. Fournier as one of the top eight Argentine wineries, and elected O. Fournier Maule 2009 as its top-ranked Chilean wine.
Craft + Estate imports such brands as Chateau St. Cosme (whose Gigondas bottling was recently
awarded the #2 position in Wine Spectator's 'Top 100 Wines of 2012,') Segla (second wine to Margaux Deuxieme Cru Classe Chateau Rauzan-Segla) and feted Nelson, New Zealand producer Neudorf, and maintains a network of fine wine wholesale partners nationally.
