According to the Wine Business Monthly proprietary database, the total number of wineries in the US has now reached 7,498. This is a 1.4 percent increase over last year's total of 7,396 or an increase of 102 wineries. While the total number of wineries continue to increase year-over-year, this recent growth is notable as the smallest increase in the last four years. (Note, there are now another 548 wineries in Mexico, so the total number of wineries in North America tops 8,000).
