JOB DESCRIPTION
Nature and Scope
We are seeking an all-rounder who loves to hustle and get things done.
As part of OBC’s small head-office team, this role primarily supports the shipping and marketing departments. The position has a close working relationship with the OBC Executives and Sales Directors. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are required.
Essential Responsibilities
Shipping Coordination
1. Confirm all orders for accuracy promptly process all orders (Consumer and Samples) Liaise with Sales Directors, Marketing team and coordinate wine deliveries into office for our on site cellar.
2. Mail & Shipping - Pack wine for trade and press samples and consumer orders. Prepare and pack marketing material orders for assigned Sales staff and supported wineries
3. Efficiently handle DTC orders, inventory flow and general administrative tasks.
It requires a very friendly and pleasant phone manner, attention to detail and ability to work well with minimal supervision.
4. General Operations - Assist with maintaining cellar inventory & shipping supplies
5. Type memos, correspondence, reports and other documents
6. Assist Operations Manager with inventory and allocations .
7. Assists with special projects as needed.
8. Assist with building and office maintenance.
9. Maintain inventory and accounting of marketing materials.
Marketing Support
1. Monitor and track media mentions and placements. Collate and report media reviews on a regular basis to OBC management and winery principals.
2. Create POS and share to support the sales team: Tech sheets, shelf-talkers, sell sheets, etc.
3. Maintain winery information – current label images, tech sheets, winery images, etc.
4. Maintain and update websites with new articles, trade tools, winery information and wine releases.
Reporting Structure
The position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Must be able to move cases of wine weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb stairs several times a day.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic team environment, have the ability to ‘think outside the box’, be a proficient problem solver and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A sound understanding of information system skills, including the following is desirable:
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
• Web-based platforms knowledge such as WordPress and Nexternal preferred
• Salesforce and Quickbooks experience a plus.
A High School diploma and some college coursework is preferred.
Wine Industry experience is desired.
