Feliz Creek Cellars Expands Operations to Include Crush Services

Posted on April 14, 2021
FELIZ CREEK CELLARS PRESS RELEASE

Feliz Creek Cellars, located in Hopland, California, is expanding its facilities to include crush services. The new sixty thousand square foot winery and storage facility was constructed in 2020 and serves as a state of the art hub for the Mendocino County wine industry.

“We’ve already seen our capacity maxed out a few times in our short history, and I’m sure this will take it to the next level.  We’ll be ready to receive grapes this fall, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work with a modern, stellar setup”, says Matt Hughes, Feliz Creek Cellars General Manager & Winemaker.

Manufacturer Pellenc America is providing the equipment which will be focused on achieving high volume and high quality simultaneously.  The system features an automated sorting system and is designed for a fifty ton per hour throughput. Hughes states, “Our goal is to be able to put fruit into the winery in the most efficient way possible, while also upholding the highest standards of purity.”

Currently the winery has availability for clients wanting to crush between 100 and 1,000 tons.  Interested parties should contact the winery as soon as possible to secure space for the 2021 harvest.

“We have many options to serve the needs of our neighbors, but we feel crush services are needed the most.  From the beginning, I’ve wanted Feliz Creek to be the go-to winery to handle all aspects of winemaking from grape to bottle, and this is a key step towards accomplishing that. I’m very excited”, says Gary Breen, Founder of Feliz Creek Cellars.
