Posted on March 16, 2020

Richmond, Va.—Broadbent Selections, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is the exclusive U.S. importer for the wines from Bindi Sergardi of Tuscany.

The Bindi Sergardi family has one of the most storied histories in the region of Tuscany, dating back to 1349. They have always lived and farmed the land of Siena, in Tuscany. Today the estate is run by Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi, representing the 23rd generation of the family as she, with her father Nicolò, continue the evolution of the family’s 700-year-old tradition in the vineyard.

BSI founder and CEO, Bartholomew Broadbent states “When I decided to expand the reach of the Broadbent Selections portfolio in Italy, it was important to me to align my company with the finest wine estate in the Chianti Classico region. I quickly realized that the opportunity to represent Bindi Sergardi was precisely what I wanted and an amazing opportunity. The history of the family, the fabulous vineyards, the excellence of the wines, the commitment and passion of Alessandra are a combination of all the best qualities one could ask for in a wine estate from Italy.”

Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi states: “We are thrilled to have our wines become part of the Broadbent portfolio of excellence. We strongly believe in the visionary leadership of Bartholomew Broadbent and in his knowledgeable and dynamic team”

Bindi Sergardi produces world-class wines from three distinctly unique estates in Tuscany, in the province of Siena: I Colli estate, which represents the history, and the soul of the 23 generations of the Bindi Sergardi family; the Mocenni estate in Vagliagli, just north of Siena, and Tenuta Marcianella in Chiusi south of Siena.

From the historical cellar at Mocenni to the modern vinification cellars at I Colli estate, the Bindi Sergardi wine-growing family, along with their team, honor the land and understand the importance of protecting their environment and its natural beauty. The wines that result from that combination are a direct reflection of their long-term commitment to continuing to achieve greatness for the future generations.
