Scott Laboratories and Lallemand Announce Expanded Partnership

Posted on February 06, 2019

Petaluma, California, February 6, 2019 – Scott Laboratories and Lallemand are pleased to announce a deepening of their relationship through a new economic partnership.

The history between Lallemand and Scott Laboratories dates back to 1974, when Scott Labs brought Lallemand the original yeast collection from the University of California, which Scott Labs inherited in 1934.

“After 45 years of productive collaboration between our teams and families, we are excited that this closer connection will bring our clients both global experiences in winemaking innovation, as well as a voice in influencing the trends of future product development,” says Zack Scott, CEO of Scott Laboratories.
Moving forward, there will be no changes to the Scott Labs’ team, portfolio, or operations. Yet, the global reach and expertise of Lallemand will give the US and Canadian teams new insight and context for the growing range of Scott products – from closures, to filtration, equipment, and beyond.

Patrick Ramette, Lallemand Oenology President, adds “Scott Labs’ excellent reputation, dynamism and professionalism is a natural fit for our business. We are proud to continue this valued relationship with a new chapter for all of us.”
