CedarCreek Estate winery is one of the first 8 pioneering wineries of BC and released its first wines in 1987. Today, we look proudly towards the future to further promote our region. Our Estate vineyards, undergoing conversion to organic certification, are situated in the North and South Okanagan and provide the opportunity to work with cool climate Burgundian, Alsatian, Bordelais and Rhone varieties.

A Unique Opportunity
The Vintage Cellarhand is a valued member of our Winemaking team who is dedicated to producing world-class wines. Our Harvest period runs August 19th to November 15th and focuses on the production of our Estate and Platinum Single Block wine portfolios including

The Life of our Vintage Cellarhand:
•  Ferment management (temperature control, inoculation, cap management, monitoring nutrient status, punch downs and pump overs);
•  Grape receival and processing, fermentations, pressings, racking, transfers, blending, topping, wine aging, wine treatments, bottling, barrel maintenance;
•  Sanitation; clean grape’s processing equipment, sanitize tanks, barrel cleaning, barrel stacking, and overall cleanliness of the cellar;
•  Operating presses, destemmers, punch down systems, pump over systems, barrel washers, ozone machines, pumps, heating & cooling systems, solenoids, control stats, draining and pressing;

Do you have what it takes?
•  Minimum 2 years of experience in total, in production winemaking, preferably with 1 international vintage
•  Enrolled or completed Education in Enology &/or Viticulture or related study from a recognized institution
•  Valid Driver’s License
•  Lab experience would be considered an asset
•  Forklift experience would be considered an asset
•  Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a diverse environment
•  Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
•  Excellent oral/written and communication skills
•  Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, climbing, bending, twisting and turning;
