We are currently seeking a customer focused, detail oriented and dedicated Restaurant Manager to lead our Gray Monk Estate Winery front of house (FOH) restaurant team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction and execution of all Food and Beverage service operations on property and ensuring extremely high-quality dining experiences to drive brand image and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, personable, and have a proven track record of coaching a team for high performance.
Specific accountabilities will include, but not limited to:
Developing and executing business strategies to meet/exceed financial objectives for Gray Monk;
Analysis, management and monitoring of Food & Beverage monthly expenditures, which includes responding to discoveries and industry/consumer trends to develop new revenue opportunities;
Generating and managing group and event restaurant business;
Leadership and management of FOH staff, including recruiting, and coaching, ensuring performance/talent/service excellence among all team members;
Maximizing revenues per guest transaction;
Other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Hospitality preferred.
Minimum of 3 years work experience in a management role in a fine dining restaurant environment.
Graduate of or currently enrolled in an internationally recognized Sommelier or WSET program an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel exceptional attention to detail.
Proven success in a leadership capacity, with a customer facing focus.
Self-motivated; able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a busy multi functioning environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (with both internal and external stakeholders).
Ability to exercise judgement and function independently.
Available to work evenings, weekdays and weekends.
