Foster's Wine Estates Appoints David Brown as Vice President, Off Premise Accounts

Foster’s Wine Estates Americas has announced the appointment of its new leadership team that will head-up its realigned Distributor Management Organization and Strategic Accounts Off Premise Group. David Brown has been appointed Vice President, Off Premise Accounts. David joins Foster’s from Mars, Inc where he served as VP of Sales for their Health and Nutrition Division. He has held previous customer management positions with Proctor and Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. Brown is a graduate of Ohio State University where he played football as a four-year starter and captain before being recruited by the Atlanta Falcons.

Foster’s Distributor Management team will be led by four Division Vice-Presidents with extensive experience within the wine and consumer goods business. The four Division Vice Presidents are Linda Gawne who has extensive experience with Diageo and Coors; Tom Tomesko who has previously worked with the E. & J. Gallo Winery as well as Glazer’s Distributors and joins Foster’s from Clorox; John Grant who was a past President of Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates and Constellation Wines Australia; and Christian Gray who has been with Foster’s for three years and has prior experience with Gallo and Diageo.

Foster’s announced last week that it had entered into new long term relationships with The Charmer Sunbelt Group and Glazer’s Distributors. This week Foster’s has realigned its own organization to better complement the efforts of its distributor partners while redeploying resources to its chain management team.

Foster’s Senior Vice President of Sales Mike Holden called the appointments and realignment critical pieces of the Foster’s strategic vision. “Some 12 months ago we started the process of transforming Foster’s in-market capabilities. These new senior level appointments combined with the latest realignment of our Distributor Management Organization along with the development of a new Luxury Sales Team are critical steps forward in implementing our strategic plan.
