Safeway Northern California Division Hires Daphne Feng as Assistant Sales Manager for Wine

Albertsons companies is happy to announce that Safeway’s Northern California Division has added Daphne Feng to their wine team in the role of Assistant Sales Manager. Daphne will oversee the day to day operations of wine buying for the chain and will work with the Lead Sales Manager, Elsie Wolf to expand and diversify the wine assortment. Daphne comes to Safeway with experience working for Noe Valley Wine Merchants,  Folio Fine Partners and Vinity Wine Company managing import operations and supply chain. These experiences have lead to her vast knowledge of imported wines, and she is especially versed in Italian wine. Before working in the wine Industry, Daphne worked in Finance with a degree from the University of Chicago

Daphne has also receive a number of impressive certifications having passed the WSET Diploma in 2013 and is currently a stage 2 student in the Masters of Wine program. As a member of the famous Northern California Forer-Deller Master of Wine Student tasting group, she is on track to sit the practical exam this year (having already passed the theory examination in 2017). 

Albertsons is one of the largest grocery store chains in the nation, operating stores in 35 states under banners such as Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel Osco, etc. Recently Albertsons companies was awarded the Wine Star for Retailer of the Year by Wine Enthusiast due to their selection and service across the country.
