Burke Beverage Names Master Sommelier as New General Manager of Wine and Spirits.

Burke Beverage announced today that Chicago-based Master Sommelier Douglas Marello has been named General Manager of Wine and Spirits.  Beginning immediately, Marello will lead the effort to implement a new vision for the company that will strive to attract new supplier partners and develop new customer relationships for the organization while working to continue the growth trajectory of its current supplier partners.

As one of three Master Sommeliers that in 2010 founded Chicago-based wholesaler Tenzing Wine and Spirits, Marello was an integral part of the development and evolution of that company.  He brings to his new role expertise in distribution as well as a passion for fine wine and spirits, relationship building and leadership.

Also joining the team is Alicia Elkins, who assumes the role of Director of Sales Wine and Spirits.  Elkins spent the last eight years with Tenzing Wine & Spirits serving in various sales and management roles.
