About the Crus Bourgeois du Medoc
Created in 1962, the Alliance brings together about 300 properties spread over the Medoc AOCs: Medoc, Haut-Medoc, Listrac, Moulis, Margaux, Pauillac and Saint Estephe. The Crus Bourgeois du Medoc were given the official go-ahead from the French government in early 2018 for the organization of a five-year classification with the reintroduction of the three historic hierarchical categories: Cru Bourgeois – Cru Bourgeois Superieur – Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. Applications from properties wishing to be included in the classification are ongoing and publication of the Classification is scheduled for the end of February 2020.
