Quintessential Hires New Sales Management and Personnel Around Country

Napa, Calif.—Family owned-and-operated fine wine importing, marketing and sales company Quintessential has announced four new wine professionals joining the company’s salesforce in New England, Texas and Illinois.

Brian Kelley has been appointed New England Regional Sales Manager for Quintessential, taking over for Barry Ibbotson, who is retiring. Born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire, Brian attended the University of Massachusetts. He comes to the company with more than 15 years of wine and spirits sales experience in New England for a number of top-tier wineries, importers and distributors, as well as working in restaurant management.

Brian will handle sales and promotional duties, as well as managing Quintessential’s distributors in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. He will be responsible for working with each distributor’s management and providing them the tools and materials to grow the company’s portfolio of approximately 30 family owned-and-operated wineries from California and most of the major wine-producing regions around the world. He will report to Northeast Division Sales Manager, Anthony Marzella. Brian is married, living with his wife and two young daughters in Hanover, MA.

In Texas, Danni Lynn Simross has rejoined Quintessential as Texas State Sales Manager, a position she held with the company from 2008 until 2014. Danni hails from Washington State, attended the University of Washington and started her career in the wine, beer and spirits industry there with a major distributing company.

Since 2005, Danni has lived and worked in the Dallas area. After leaving Quintessential, she handled regional sales for a Napa winery and recently directed all sales efforts for a boutique wine brokerage company based in Waco, Texas. Reporting to Quintessential’s Southwest Division Manager Ned Thorn, Danni is responsible for all sales and promotional efforts for the company’s portfolio in Texas, working closely with the State’s two largest distributors to spur sales growth.

Among other wine industry accolades and accomplishments, Danni holds an Advanced Wine Certificate (AWC) with the International Sommelier Guild and has a wealth of experience in this highly-competitive and important wine-buying state. Married, with three adult sons and a daughter, Danni currently resides in the Dallas/Ft. Worth suburbs.

Joining Danni to help drive sales in Texas is New Orleans’ native Danielle Clark. She was raised in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida, and currently resides in Houston, where Danielle will be responsible for sales and promotional efforts as a Quintessential sales representative. Reporting to Danni, Danielle has worked in sales with the two largest wine and spirits distributors in the State, most recently as a “Platinum Specialist” with Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC).

A Level 1 Sommelier, Court of Master Sommeliers, with WSET II in Spirits, Danielle also will cover San Antonio and Austin for Quintessential. She is married with two children.

ules Symon joins Quintessential as District Manager for Illinois, reporting to Jennifer Hawley, who has overall responsibility for sales in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. A native of Chicago, Jules has spent more than 15 years representing and selling fine wines for a number of top importers and distributors in the Windy City and its environs.

As part of Quintessential’s Midwest Sales Team, Jules will be responsible to help the various distributor’s salesforces that represent the company’s domestic and imported wine brands in Illinois in their promotional and sales efforts. Jules is a Certified Sommelier living in Chicago with her son.
