Amapola Creek Vineyards & Winery New Hires

Posted on June 18, 2019

Sonoma, Calif.—We are excited to announce the appointment of Kayla Berthoud as assistant winemaker at Amapola Creek.

Kayla’s passion for winemaking began at an early age. Born and raised in Sonoma Valley, Kayla began tending to her family’s vineyards and making wine with her father, Michel (Mike) as far back as she can remember. Mike was the associate winemaker at Arrowood Winery from 1988 to 2002.

Kayla is a recent graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Viniculture & Enology. Her lifelong family winemaking experience and a successful stint in winery hospitality gives Kayla a personal perspective into Sonoma Valley and our small winery’s operation. She will have a hand in all aspects of winemaking from the vineyard to the bottle.

New hire Alyssa Smith, DTC Sales & Marketing, joins forces with newly appointed General Manager David DuBois, to host guests daily who want to visit our beautiful property and taste our highly acclaimed wines. Both Alyssa and David’s knowledge and joy to share our wines and stories, make for a fun and yum tasting experience.
