Wine by Joes Hires Doug Vuylsteke as Cellar Master

December 3, 2018, Dundee, OR – Wine by Joe and Dobbes Family Estate announce the hire of two new employees. Sarah Pearson is the company’s first Vice President of Marketing and Sales, and Doug Vuylsteke is the new Wine by Joe Cellar Master. Pearson and Vuylsteke are both wine industry veterans who joined from 3 Badge Beverage Corporation of Sonoma, California and Sokol Blosser Winery of Dayton, respectively.
Chief Executive Officer, Gretchen Boock comments, “We are excited about the growth of our brands over the last year including the launch of Joe to Go canned wines. Adding these two experienced industry veterans to our team is part of my vision to continue our expansion, particularly through focus on sales and brand. I am looking forward to working with Sarah, Doug and our recently promoted winemakers to plan for our next phase of growth.” Pearson will report to Boock, who was appointed CEO in 2017 after 14 years with the company. Vuylsteke will report to Travis Proctor, Director of Winemaking Operations for Wine by Joe.
Prior to becoming Sokol Blosser’s Production Winemaker in 2001, Vuylsteke spent 12 years at Rex Hill as Cellar Master and Assistant Winemaker.
