Crown Point Vineyards Welcomes New Director of Sales and Marketing
Santa Ynez, CA — Crown Point Vineyards, the noteworthy producer of distinguished Bordeaux-style wines from their estate vineyard in the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara County AVA, is pleased to welcome Karl Ziegler to the team as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Ziegler started his career in fine dining while attending college in Las Vegas, working for such acclaimed restaurants as Spago Las Vegas, where he was part of the opening team. After discovering the wholesale wine and spirits business, he was hired by Larry Ruvo at Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, later working as a supplier for Allied Domecq Wines, Cline Cellars, Robert Oatley and Terroir Selections upon moving back to Southern California.
Ziegler joins Crown Point with a renewed sense of energy for the business, bringing his passion for fine wine and expertise in sales and strategic partnerships to his new role as Director of Sales. “Karl brings great breadth and depth of luxury wine experience that naturally make him a great fit for Crown Point,” shares General Manager David Francke. “His relationships will be critical as we work to expand our wholesale activity into more markets, and we’re lucky to have him on the team.”
Proprietor Roger Bower adds, “Since our inception, we’ve been fully committed to high quality wine production, doing everything we can in the vineyard and winery to craft exceptional wine. With the addition of Karl, we are better positioned to get the word out through the distributor and trade network. I have the utmost confidence in our growing team.”
Ziegler currently resides in Redondo Beach, California, with his wife and eleven year old son. When he’s not spending time in the outdoors, be it in the ocean or in the mountains, Karl enjoys cooking and collecting wine. He’s also an avid record collector and frequently attends live music shows throughout the Los Angeles area.
