Scheid Family Wines Hires Jennifer Harvey as Sales Manager in California
SALINAS, California – January 11, 2018 – Scheid Family Wines (SFW) announced today it has hired two new sales managers to handle distributor support in California. They will work with the newly appointed Young’s Market Company to grow representation and sales in restaurants and independent fine wine shops across the state.
Scheid Family Wines was founded in 1972 when Al Scheid planted his first vineyards in Monterey County. Today, the family owns 11 estate vineyards along a 70-mile stretch of the Salinas Valley. In 2005, the Scheid family built a state-of-the-art winery with a crush capacity of 30,000 tons. The company also built a small Reserve Winery where their luxury-class, limited-production wines are produced. With 4,000 acres of vineyards planted to 39 varieties including 20 distinct clones of Pinot Noir, Scheid Family Wines is positioned to quickly respond to consumer preferences and market demands.
Jennifer Harvey will oversee Southern California. She boasts more than 13 years of sales experience in the wine industry. Prior to SFW, Jennifer managed 120 on- and off-premise accounts in San Diego for Regal Wine Company. Before Regal, Jennifer spent more than a decade with Wine Warehouse. While at WW, Jennifer was consistently one of the company’s top performers, earning honors as the “Sales Person of the Year 2015” for the San Diego District, #1 Rep for Empson USA and Top 10 Rep for Heritage of France.
According to Heidi Scheid, Executive Vice President at SFW, “We are thrilled to have Brian and Jennifer join our sales team. In addition to their extensive wine knowledge and industry experience, both have strong relationships with key accounts across the Golden State. They will be invaluable in helping Young’s Market Company present and sell all of the wines in the SFW portfolio.”
