Wines of Substance Hires Stacey Donahue as Director of Marketing & Public Relations
October 6, 2017 – Seattle/Walla Walla: Wines of Substance has hired Stacey Donahue, a Seattle-based marketing expert with more than 20 years of experience, to serve as their new Director of Marketing & Public Relations starting October 2, 2017. Donahue will oversee marketing efforts, events, public relations and communications to drive awareness for Charles Smith’s Wines of Substance, the award-winning global wine brand which is Washington’s largest winemaker-owned winery.
After attending graduate school in Chicago where she received master’s degrees from the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, Donahue started her career with the Starbucks/Pepsi-joint venture developing and launching bottled Frappuccino. Having developed an early interest in wine and winemaking growing up with her family in Northern California, she then jumped into the world of wine, spending the next eight years developing brands for a French and Australian wine importer, and eventually Washington State’s Chateau Ste. Michelle. At Chateau Ste. Michelle, she managed new product development and the creation of several brands including Red Diamond, Saint M and 14 Hands. She also served as the integration manager when CSM acquired Erath in Oregon.
Donahue has served as a marketing expert for some of the Seattle area’s top brands, including being an investor and executive consultant to Jones Soda, Starbucks, Oberto and most recently managed marketing, research and programming for KING5 TV.
