Jennifer Marion Launches J. Marion Consulting

Posted on December 09, 2014

Jennifer Marion has announced the formation of J. Marion Consulting (jmarionconsulting.com). Regarded for her grape growing and winemaking abilities across many grape varieties and growing regions, she will now focus her attention on working with new and established wineries and growers to define, develop, and execute their production and marketing goals. Marion is regarded for her ability to recognize exceptional vineyards and to craft balanced, elegant, age-worthy wines. She believes in being a steward to the land and in non-invasive winemaking techniques. It is with this approach that Marion's sought after wines have received exceptional scores and awards.

Born in Northern California, Marion originally intended to study medicine but redirected her love for the sciences into grape growing and winemaking. After earning her degrees in viticulture, enology and plant pathology from UC Davis, she worked with a North Coast vineyard consulting firm that developed and maintained acclaimed vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. After working with world renowned Pinot Noir grower, Francis Mahoney and making wines beside Steve MacRostie, Marion collaborated on the creation of Anaba Wines where she worked as general manager and director of winemaking and vineyard operations. Marion will continue to instruct in the Wine Studies department at Santa Rosa Junior College and conduct wine education and staff training on topics related to wine business, winemaking and viticulture for private enterprises.
