Dobbes Family Estate Promotes Gretchen Boock

Dobbes Family Estate / Wine by Joe, one of Oregon’s most prominent and largest wine producers, has expanded its ranks and hired several seasoned professionals in the areas of consumer marketing, wine club management and sales. In addition, the company has promoted general manager Gretchen Boock to COO. All of this at a time when the company’s wines continue to garner high praise across the range.
Recent wine accolades for Dobbes Family Estate include inclusion in Oregon’s 50 Best Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs (published by 50 Best), a 93 point Wine Spectator rating for the Dobbes Estate 2010 Quailhurst Pinot Noir, and six 90+ point ratings from Steven Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar including 92 for both 2012 Patricia’s Cuvee Pinot Noir and 2012 Symonette single vineyard Pinot Noir.
“I continue to be exceptionally proud of the quality of our wines and the team here in Dundee,” remarked Joe Dobbes, founder, president and winemaker. “It’s always rewarding when people can grow with a company, which is exactly what Gretchen has done. She was my first employee and has been my right hand for over 10 years.”
