Gary Eberle To Continue with Eberle Winery

Posted on March 20, 2014

Eberle Winery announced founder Gary Eberle will remain as brand ambassador as the winery looks to position itself for future success. Eberle’s influential role working with customers, distributors and restaurateurs will continue with the brand he built. The ownership group, largely intact for thirty years, is dedicated to building upon the acclaim of the Paso Robles AVA and the quality their customers have come to expect from Eberle Winery. The wines will continue to be made by partner Ben Mayo. Willis Blakewell assumes General Manager duties for the winery.

“For the past thirty years I’ve poured my heart and soul into this winery,” Eberle stated, “This is a new chapter in my life at Eberle Winery and I can’t imagine doing anything else. ” Known for his passion and tireless promotion of the region, Eberle is the celebrated personality of the boutique winery that bares his name.

The ownership group, a partnership of friends, local leaders and business associates founded the winery in 1983. Speaking on behalf of the owners, partner Rob Flory stated, “We are extremely happy with this positive development. We want to continue to evolve, strengthen our vineyards and position the winery for continued success and Gary is an important part of this plan.”

Eberle is distributed in 35 states with an annual case production between 25,000 and 30,000 cases. They were named Winery of the Year last year at the 2013 Central Coast Wine Competition, an award given at the California Mid-State Fair. For more information, visit
