Europvin USA Announces Sales Appointments and Expansion in Key Markets

Michael Zuppa, national sales director of Europvin USA has formally announced key sales and marketing appointments within the United States, effectively doubling the existing sales coverage and territory oversight for the Europvin USA portfolio.

The expansion of the sales team and appointment of U.S.-based marketing and national account managers are additions to the existing regional managers covering the Northeast, Southeast and Great Lakes regions. This growth reflects Europvin USA’s commitment to investing in significant sales efforts in the U.S., enabling their shareholders, winery partners and wholesalers to achieve strategic long-term sales development and expansion of market share.

The six regional sales managers as well as national accounts and marketing departments report directly to Zuppa, who was appointed to his position in May 2013, previously having served as national sales manager for K Vintners and Charles Smith Wines, and prior to, spent 10 years at Constellation Wines US. Effective immediately, the appointments are as follows:

Renee Linares- regional manager, Northeast (ME, VT, NY, NJ, CT, NH, MA, RI). Previously sales manager for Row Eleven Wine Company and New York market manager for Vintner’s Estates Direct Importing. Linares is based in Brooklyn.

Matt Daniels- regional manager, Mid-Atlantic (DC, MD, PA, OH, WV, VA, KY, DE).
Previously Mid-Atlantic sales manager for Majestic Fine Wines and prior to, sales positions with Monument Fine Wines in Washington, D.C. as well as Noble Wine Estates and Trans Atlantic in Florida. Daniels is based in Bethesda.

Kirk Helberg- regional manager, Southwest (AZ, UT, WY, CO, NM, KS, OK, TX, LA). Previously national sales manager for Messina Hof winery, and prior to, strategic brands market manager for Purple Wine Company. Past positions include division manager for Paterno Wine Imports. Helberg is based in Houston.

Lucia Ramos Perez- regional manager, West (AK, CA, HI, NV, OR, WA, ID, MT). Previously USA brand manager for Bodegas Frontauro of Toro, Spain and Bodegas Nexus of Ribera del Duero, Spain. Perez is based in San Francisco.

Vinay Ramakrishna- national accounts manager. Previously strategic accounts manager, Southeast for Terlato Wines, and prior to, key accounts manager for Empire Distributors. Ramakrishna is based in Atlanta.

Lisa Weeks- marketing and public relations manager. Past positions include marketing and communications director for Buena Cepa Wines, director of public relations for TGIC Importers and marketing manager for Southern Starz. Weeks is based in New York City.

Mark Diamond - Southeast regional sales manager (FL, AR, TN, GA, NC SC, AL, MS) formerly of Negociants USA and American Estates Wines, is based in Miami.

Todd Brill- Central Lakes regional sales manager (IL, ND, SD, NE, MN, WI, MI, IA, IN, MO) formerly of Pasternak Wine Imports and Martin Sinkoff wines, is based in Chicago.

By expanding distribution territories and the addition of experienced industry veterans to the sales team, this aligns with Europvin’s vision of strategic portfolio growth and expansion in the US marketplace.
