Joshua Marrow Joins Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. as Senior Project Manager
Joshua Marrow, P.E. , with more than 15 years of experience in the field of structural and earthquake engineering consulting, has joined Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. as Senior Project Manager in the firm's San Francisco office.
A key addition to Partner's structural and seismic consulting practice, Marrow will lead the advancement of Partner's seismic risk practice as well as enhance Partner's capabilities in structural design, seismic retrofit, structural investigations and forensics. As a licensed Professional Engineer, Marrow consults with both private and public sector clients on projects of all levels of complexity including commercial office, high technology, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical.
The US Wine Industry recognizes Marrow as the premier seismic risk expert for winery and distilling operations. He has worked with a wide variety of wine industry clients over the past decade to assess their seismic risk and develop hazard mitigation strategies that are sympathetic to their unique operations.
Marrow has a diverse technical background, with consulting experience spanning a full spectrum from structural design and construction, to complex seismic risk due diligence consulting. His expertise includes seismic risk analysis of buildings and infrastructure, probable maximum loss due diligence assessments, structural design of new buildings, seismic retrofit and rehabilitation of existing buildings, construction engineering, seismic hazard mitigation, forensic investigations and construction litigation consulting.
Previously, Marrow was with Allied Container Systems where he served as lead structural engineer and technical manager for a $400 million defense department contract for the United States Marine Corp. He lead a large team of engineers, technical writers and quality assurance engineers and was
responsible for the technical development, design, construction document development, manufacturing QA/QC and construction management for modular training facilities at sites in the United States, Hawaii and Japan.
Marrow contributes to the advancement of seismic engineering and due diligence through his involvement in numerous industry professional organizations including Building Code Standards committees, the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Marrow was the recipient of two prestigious awards from EERI and ASCE: the Shah Family Innovation Prize and the New Faces if Civil Engineering award.
Marrow earned a BS in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo and a MS in Civil Engineering and Structural Mechanics from the University of California, Berkeley.
