The grape growing season in the East and upper Midwest during 2019 has been "difficult" but the problems growers faced in the East were different than those in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. The only region reporting excellent quality grapes and good yields is Ohio, where sunshine, dry conditions, and cool nights created conditions for optimum fruit maturity.
