Authorities have ordered the evacuation of 50,000 Sonoma County residents from Geyserville through the town of Windsor as firefighters on the Kincade fire brace for up to 80-mile-per-hour wind gusts Saturday evening. As of Saturday morning, the Kincade fire has burned about 25,500 acres in northeastern Sonoma County, according to CAL FIRE. The fire was 10 percent contained. Communities ordered evacuated include Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor as well Chalk Hill Road and areas along Highway 128, from North Knights Valley to Napa County, according to CAL FIRE. The National Weather Service's red flag warning is from 8 p.m. Saturday through 11 am. Monday, causing abrupt wind shifts and causing the fire to move toward Healdsburg and Windsor Saturday evening, authorities said Saturday morning.
