Agustin Huneeus Jr Charged in College Admissions Bribing Scheme

Vintner Agustin Huneeus Jr. was charged in connection with a bribing scheme to help their children enter elite universities, according to federal prosecutors. A federal judge in San Francisco on Tuesday ordered Huneeus released from custody on $1 million bail, according to court records. Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph Spero also ordered Huneeus to surrender his passport and to appear at 2:30 p.m. on March 29 at the John Joseph Moakley U.S. Courthouse in Boston, Mass.
