Fire Damage Becoming Clear

December 05, 2017

Eight weeks after the fire started, the picture is a little clearer. The fires on the North Coast consumed 245,000 acres, destroyed at least 8,889 structures and killed 44 people, according to Cal Fire. In Santa Rosa alone, that number includes 4,655 homes representing an estimated 12,000 people who are left to recover their lives. That's a fact that can't be minimized and the numbers reflect an historic level of pain.
