Japan: Future growth to be driven by entry-level wines

Contrary to all expectations following the tragic events of 2011, the Japanese have not stopped drinking wine. In fact, according to the latest figures released by the IWSR this week in Tokyo, wine consumption in Japan surged by 20.21 percent between 2007 and 2011 to 30.64 million 9-litre cases, equivalent to 367.68 million bottles.
