The Kincade fire continued to grow over the weekend in Sonoma County, scorching about 66,230 acres in Sonoma County and causing thousands to flee their home. About 4,000 firefighters continue to fight the wind-driven blaze that has destroyed at least two Alexander Valley wineries, Field Stone Winery and Soda Rock Winery in the Alexander Valley, as well as more than two-dozen homes. As of Monday morning, the Kincade fire was only 5 percent contained. Two firefighters were injured Sunday, including one who was airlifted with burns to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, according to CAL FIRE. Evacuation orders for more than 189,000 resident from Sonoma County, including Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor, neighborhoods in Santa Rosa, Sebastopol to the Pacific Coast, remain in place, officials stressed Sunday night. Communities ordered evacuated include Geyserville, Healdsburg, Windsor as well Chalk Hill Road and areas along Highway 128, from North Knights Valley to Napa County, according to CAL FIRE. The National Weather Service's red flag warning is from 8 p.m. Saturday through 11 am. Monday, causing abrupt wind shifts and causing the fire to move toward Healdsburg and Windsor Saturday evening, authorities said Saturday morning.
