Napa County is considering new rules to curb the excessive use of propane cannons to scare off birds in vineyards and stop them from feasting on berries before harvest. To that end the Napa County Agricultural Commissioner has prepared new guidelines for the use of bird cannons and other noise-making devices. A meeting is set for this evening in Napa to allow members of the general public to comment on the draft document.

DIAM Bouchage and G3 Enterprises held their sixth annual Wine Conversations: A Global Tasting and Marketing Forum at the Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa, Calif., on March 7. As per tradition, the event began with a double-blind tasting of wines from around the world led by event host Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein.
