"Love To Give" Wine, Chocolate and... Water

Stark Wine and Sonoma Chocolatiers Offer a Valentine's Gift That Gives Back
January 17, 2013

Two artisanal Sonoma County companies, Stark Wine and Sonoma Chocolatiers, have teamed up to offer the “Love To Give” wine and chocolate pairing gift to Californians this Valentine’s Day. Plus, they will donate 10 percent of profits to help bring clean drinking water to the world’s poorest communities through partnering with WaterAid, an international nonprofit organization transforming lives through access to safe water.

In “Love To Give,” Stark Wine is debuting Stark Wild, a 2011 untamed California Red Wine Blend made from Zinfandel, Grenache and Petite Sirah. The $49 package includes one bottle of Stark Wild and four Sonoma Chocolatiers indulgences: smoked sea salt nibbles, salted caramels, cinnamon dusted chocolate-coated organic almonds and a dark chocolate Sonoma bar.

“This pairing fulfills your every wine and chocolate desire,” said David Gambill, chief chocolatier. “The rich berry and spice flavors in the wine taste spectacular with my handmade chocolates.”

Both companies are dedicated to giving back through their partnership with WaterAid, a nonprofit organization that has helped 17.5 million people gain access to clean water. Stark Wine has teamed with WaterAid for the past year. “In 2012, we’re proud to say we helped bring 200 people water for life through wine,” said winemaker Christian Stark. “Our goal is to double that number in 2013, and ‘Love to Give’ is an important step.”

“Love To Give” is available in California only, online at for $49.00 (including shipping) while quantities last. Orders must be received by Monday, Feb. 11 to ensure Valentine's Day delivery.
