Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance Leads the Path with Community Benchmark Announcement

The collaboration marks the first wine region partnership outside of California.

WALLA WALLA, WA – The Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance (WWVWA), a nonprofit wine industry membership organization representing 85 wineries in the Walla Walla Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) announced a partnership with Community Benchmark, an online direct-to-consumer (DTC) insights platform, marking the first expansion outside of California for Community Benchmark.

Founded by John Keleher, the platform uses proprietary algorithms to measure the relative success of wineries within a geographic area, and, through a private website, anonymously shares personalized, actionable metrics. WWVWA has partnered with Community Benchmark to bring this intelligence exclusively to winery members of the organization. Additionally, the WWVWA will receive a regional report comparing the AVA with other wine regions in the United States.

“We are constantly seeking opportunities to provide greater value to our member wineries and are pleased to partner with Community Benchmark to bring market and business intelligence to both the individual wineries and wine region as a whole,” says Robert Hansen, Executive Director of the WWVWA. “Having access to complete data and benchmarking insights will be a gamechanger in helping our members make better business decisions and identifying growth opportunities.”

"This is our first launch outside of California and we are very excited to continue to bring this service to the wine industry, one region at a time. Having access to regular, relevant benchmarks is common practice in many industries especially the hotel and destination tourism industry” states John Keleher, Founder of Community Benchmark. “Thanks to the leadership at the WWVWA for committing to innovating new benefits to their members, all members of WWVWA will have access to complete information. We really look forward to helping WWVWA members make more confident strategic decisions."

The WWVWA will work with its winery members to onboard with the Community Benchmark platform through the December 15, 2020 deadline to sign-up period and start receiving individual and regional monthly reports by year end.
