Wine Business Monthly invites you to WiVi Central Coast—the largest gathering of wine industry professionals from California’s Central Coast—held March 25, 2020 at the Paso Robles Events Center.

Early bird tickets are now available. Register Now.

The full-day event will kick off with an insightful general session, entitled Passion, Innovation, Value and Quality: A Spotlight on Central Coast Wines. Today’s wine buyers are explorative, fickle and ready to break away from traditional spending habits in the pursuit of something interesting and different—and the Central Coast wine industry is in a unique position to embrace these newest wine purchasing and consumption trends. Keynote speakers Joseph Gardner, industry veteran and vice president of fine wine for Republic National Distribution Company, and Marcello Cancelli, area wine director for Boka Restaurant Group, will lead the seminar, discussing the ever-changing consumer marketplace and how Central Coast wineries and wine brands can stand out on the shelves and online.

About Joseph Gardner

Gardner has been with RNDC for 22 years, holding management positions in the states of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. His current responsibility is to liaison with fine wine suppliers across the national RNDC network. The position works to ensure supplier brand marketing and sales strategies are implemented, communicated and tracked for success. Additionally, RNDC develops promotional strategy to drive brand sales velocity within select marketing channels.

About Marcello Cacelli

A testament to his passion and commitment to great wine and its rightful place alongside a meal, Cancelli, a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers, has developed award winning wine lists for every restaurant he’s worked for, including a Best of Award of Excellence Award for Swift & Sons. He has also developed the opening wine program and list for Somerset and the roof top lounge Devereaux in the Viceroy Hotel. In 2019, he developed the wine program for Boka’s newest restaurant, Cira, a Mediterranean concept helmed by Swift & Sons Executive Chef Chris Pandel; their second collaboration. Recently, Cancelli was promoted to Area Wine Director for the Boka Group, overseeing the wine programs at Swift & Sons, Momotaro, Bellemore and Cira.
