Harvest Horror Stories 2019: Share Your Tales of a Vintage Gone Wrong

by Wine Business Monthly
September 10, 2019

Harvest 2019 is underway and even though you've prepared and planned to the best of your abilities, sometimes things go wrong. Whether Mother Nature decides to speed or slow the process, equipment malfunctions or "harvest brain" gets the better of you and you end up with an accidental Rosé, just about everyone who has ever picked a cluster of grapes, completed a punch down or racked a barrel has a horror story to share.

The days (and nights) are long, the work physically and mentally exhausting and it is utterly relentless. It's nothing to be ashamed of--mistakes happen for newcomers and well-experienced hands alike. Hopefully, it's something that can be laughed about and enjoyed.

In the past, Wine Business Monthly has featured some of those stories and we're bringing it back for the 2019 vintage!

Share your humorous tales with us and we'll feature them on Send your stories to and, don't worry, you can remain anonymous!

In the meantime, check out Lance Cutler's Winemaker Roundtable: Horror Stories in the July 2017 issue of Wine Business Monthly.
