TOR Napa Valley Introduces the New Black Magic Experience Featuring Beckstoffer To Kalon and Vine Hill Ranch

Posted on August 19, 2019

St. Helena, Calif.—Kicking off just-in-time for harvest 2019, TOR’s new Black Magic Experience will provide a true behind-the-curtains peek into the life of a vintner at the top of their game, as well as what goes into making 100-point wines at TOR.

Superlatives abound when referencing TOR’s Black Magic: it is the rarest of the rare wines TOR makes and is produced in only the best vintages and shaped from the best of the best blocks in a select few Napa Valley’s most famous vineyards--and is limited to a very small number of cases.

With TOR, everything starts with the best rows of Napa’s finest vineyards. You will be personally hosted by founder Tor Kenward who will share his four decades as a Napa Valley vintner, or Matt Deller MW, one of just six Masters of Wine in Napa Valley, for an exclusive tour of the haloed soils of the legendary Beckstoffer To Kalon and Vine Hill Ranch vineyards.

You’ll then go on to Brix, for a sumptuous three-course lunch nestled in gardens beneath Vine Hill Ranch, and now one of Napa’s most desirable restaurants since its recent renovation.

There you will taste barrel samples considered for Black Magic and have the rare opportunity to make Magic. With lunch you will enjoy three potential 100-point wines, including Vine Hill Ranch and Beckstoffer To Kalon single vineyard bottlings, as well as Black Magic.

The fine print:
The TOR Black Magic Experience is available on a very limited basis by-appointment-only. The cost is $750 per person and includes vineyard tours of Beckstoffer To Kalon and Vine Hill Ranch, lunch at Brix, including wines, as well as the barrel tasting and blending session.
