Award-winning Apple Pie Wine Returns Sept. 2
Bloomington, Ind.—Oliver Winery, Indiana’s oldest and largest winery, is bringing back its award-winning, limited-time Apple Pie wine on September 2nd — available until it’s sold out.
Featuring tart, crisp apple and soft vanilla, along with comforting notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg, Apple Pie is a fresh-pressed, 100% apple wine (no concentrates) with 8.3% ABV. The gentle aroma of sweet spice fills you with warmth — bottling the kitchen on Thanksgiving Day.
“Back by popular demand, this seasonal wine has quickly become a fall tradition,” said Dennis Dunham, Oliver Winery VP of operations and director of winemaking. “It’s a perfect wine for sharing. Better yet, no forks are required.”
Now in its fourth year of production, Apple Pie has received Gold, Reserve Class Champion at the 2019 Rodeo Uncorked!® International Wine Competition, as well as Best of Class & Gold at the 2017 Indy International Wine Competition and Double Gold at the Indiana State Fair. Apple Pie has sold out every year since 2016, and a limited supply will be released to market again this fall.
It is available in stores in Indiana, Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, as well as at the Oliver Winery Tasting Room and online.
Apple Pie follows this year’s permanent introduction of Oliver Blueberry Moscato in March 2019 and the limited-time summer release of Peach Pie wine, new to Oliver Winery this year.
