Celebrate Spring with V. Sattui's New Rosato di Sangiovese

Posted on April 25, 2017

(April 24, 2017, St. Helena, CA)-- V. Sattui winery celebrates the arrival of spring with the release of a new dry, crisp rosé. The 2016 Rosato di Sangiovese is a sophisticated, Mediterranean-style wine that captures the essence of la dolce vita on the Italian Riviera. The wine will be released May 12, and, just like all V. Sattui wines, will be available only at the winery or at for $26 per bottle.

V. Sattui’s Rosato di Sangiovese is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes primarily sourced from the winery’s Hibbard Ranch in the Carneros region of the Napa Valley. The juice was given minimal contact with the skins before gently pressing and was cold fermented in stainless steel. V. Sattui Winemaker Brooks Painter and his team wanted to create a graceful rosé that is pale pink in color, with an emphasis on the red cherry, ripe strawberry, and juicy watermelon aromatics of the grape. The berry flavors carry through on the palate and the wine finishes with a refreshing and slightly mineral finish.

V. Sattui’s Rosato di Sangiovese is a perfect wine to enjoy on its own; it also pairs well with charcuterie, a wide variety of cheeses or an al fresco light summer lunch of salad, fish or chicken.

Please join us on Mother’s Day Release Weekend, May 12-14, for tastings of Rosato di Sangiovese and special treats. Rosato Gelato will be the featured flavor in the winery’s collection of house-made gelatos.
