A boutique winery rooted in Santa Barbara County is seeking a full-time Tasting Room Manager to help oversee and grow our tasting room experience.
We produce limited-production wines from Santa Barbara County vineyards, with a focus on thoughtful farming, intentional winemaking, and wines that express place and vintage with intention and care.
This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is passionate about wine, hospitality, sales, and creating a polished guest experience. The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, organized, self-motivated, and excited to take ownership of daily tasting room operations while helping build meaningful connections with guests and wine club members.

This position will:
* Manage daily tasting room operations
* Lead weekend and holiday shifts; flexibility is key
* Greet and host guests with professionalism, warmth, and product knowledge
* Create a welcoming, polished, and memorable guest experience
* Drive wine sales and wine club sign-ups through storytelling and authentic hospitality
* Accurately process orders using POS system
* Support wine club communication, pick-ups, guest follow-up, and member experience
* Keep the tasting room organized, clean, stocked, and inviting
* Assist with staff training, daily task management, and team communication
* Support events, private tastings, and occasional off-site promotions
* Help manage inventory, shipping, restocking, packing, and general operations
* Occasionally assist with marketing, email content, social media, and brand storytelling
* Uphold safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards
Requirements:
* Previous customer service, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or tasting room experience required
* Previous leadership or management experience preferred
* Wine knowledge preferred, but curiosity and willingness to learn are essential
* Sales-minded with a positive, proactive attitude
* Strong computer literacy; experience with POS systems is a plus
* Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities during busy service days
* Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for long periods
* Must be 21+
* Must be available most weekends, holidays, and high-traffic days
Compensation:
* $20–25/hour based on experience
* Plus tips, wine club commissions, sick pay, and employee discounts
