Job Description
AEB USA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to lead and coordinate the national sales team composed of Technical Sales Specialists across oenology and spirits sectors. This leadership role will be based in Lodi, California, and will have dual responsibilities: overseeing the direct sales efforts in the Lodi region while managing and mentoring the broader commercial team across the U.S.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of oenology, strong leadership abilities, and technical knowledge of wine production equipment and machinery. This role is critical to expanding AEB’s market presence and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, mentor, and coordinate the activities of Technical Sales Specialists across the country.
Drive performance management, training, and strategic alignment within the sales team.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to each beverage segment (wine, spirits).
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with Country Manager and Business Unit Managers to align commercial goals.
Regional Sales Management and Market Development
Manage direct sales and key customer relationships within the Lodi area and surrounding region.
Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and negotiations to secure long-term partnerships.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities in new and existing markets across the U.S.
Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and positioning.
Reporting & Administration
Report regularly to the Country General Manager on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
Ensure proper CRM usage and accurate sales reporting by the team.
Technical Competences
In-depth knowledge of winemaking processes, technologies, and equipment.
Familiarity with technical equipment and automation in beverage production.
Strong understanding of B2B sales Techniques
Capability to read through numbers and identify opportunities

Leadership acumen and capability to motivate and develop a sales team
Academic Background and Training
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Oenology, Viticulture, Food Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial leadership role in the wine industry; experience in beer and spirits sectors is a plus.
Proven track record in sales team management, preferably in a technical sales environment.
