Rincon Mountain Winery is looking for a full-time Tasting Room Manager to work at our tasting room in Carpinteria, CA. Thursday-Sunday 11:30-8 pm. Wednesdays hours vary depending on hours worked during operation hours. Our small family winery produces roughly 1,800-2,000 cases of estate boutique wines annually. Qualifications:
-Must be 21 or over
-Wine background/education is preferred
-Experience in hospitality, including restaurants, bars, wine-tasting rooms, etc., is preferred
Job Description includes but is not limited to:
- Explaining our winery, wines, and wine clubs to all customers
- Maintaining a friendly and professional level of service with all customers
- Ability to remember club members and make them feel special
- Positive attitude with the ability to take and execute directions
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Remain standing for at least 8 hours
- Ability to lift 40 pounds (i.e., a case of wine)
- Clean the tasting room before, during, and after each shift. This includes polishing glasses, wiping tables and chairs, dusting, etc.
- Exhibiting attention to detail when interacting in our POS system to charge for orders, look up previous orders, or complete club member pick-ups.
- Paying keen attention to customer needs, i.e., knowing when to pour wines, acknowledging when a customer is ready to check out, etc.
- Vigilant in checking IDs for underage customers
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance
