Job Title: Bottling Line Hand I- Seasonal

Job Summary
The Bottling Line Hand I- Seasonal position is instrumental in ensuring that the operations on our bottling line are completed in a safe and smooth manner. This position does work in a production operating line where there are several moving parts and loud noises, specifically glass clanking together. Hearing protection is provided. All members of the team are expected to follow a set of safety, sanitation and quality-related procedures.
Essential Functions

Specific Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to the following:
This position rotates periodically throughout the shift to different stations;
• Stand at a designated bottling station performing repetitive responsibilities for up to 3 hours at a time for 10–12-hour shifts;
• Be able to repetitively lift and dump an empty case of glass at chest level onto a table which weighs approximately 45 pounds and push case onto a running conveyer belt;
• Responsibilities are to be performed within production line time parameters, or so, keeping up with speed of the operating line;
• Repetitively inspect stationary and moving containers to ensure they meet quality standards at each designated station;
• Communicate in person with warehouse personnel when supply needs arise;
• May perform sanitation responsibilities which include working with steam and stainless-steel pipes that reach temperatures of up to 210 degrees Fahrenheit;
• Make, repack, seal, and stack cases, when needed;
o When stacking cases, must be able to lift 50 pounds from floor level to approximately three (3) feet in height;
• Check cases to ensure they all have necessary labels;
• Participate in the process of production line changeovers;
• Maintain clean work stations and clean bottling line areas when directed, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and picking up discarded bottling materials and broken glass as well as using water hoses;
• Restock corks, foil, label rolls, and other essential materials to ensure efficiency is met, when trained;
• Use safety cutters properly to break down cardboard or cut plastic;
• Employees may be asked to travel to our other location in Grant County to assist on that bottling line;
• Perform any other duties designated by supervisors and department manager
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis
The position requires an individual to:
• Be on feet for extended amounts of time and able to walk around various moving parts and able to pay close attention while in production area;
• Be able to repetitively lift and dump an empty case of glass at chest level onto a table which weighs approximately 45 pounds and push case onto a running conveyer belt;
• Able to climb to elevated heights of up to 45 feet using stairs with railings and vertical stainless-steel ladders;
• Able to perform responsibilities at said elevated heights on cat walks, ladders, and lifts;
• Lift from ground and overhead and stack cases of wine weighing 50 pounds and able to move cases;
• Manual dexterity needed: must be able to crouch, stoop, bend and twist at waist and in neck, sit, stand, walk, and have full use of hands and fingers, and must be able to lift;
• Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person communication;
Summary of Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age;
• Must have reliable transportation to meet schedule requirements;
• Prior experience working in a production/warehouse position or a position that required related responsibilities with repetitive manual labor movements on feet;
• Ability to accurately count bottles and cases up to 150.
• Must be professional in demeanor, speech, and appropriate dress;
• High School Diploma or equivalent State-issued certificate, preferred;
• Able to perform basic mathematical functions, preferred
