JOB TITLE: Private Client Manager
DEPARTMENT: Sales and Marketing
REPORTS TO: DTC Sales Director
RANGE $65K - $80K Base + Commissions + Benefits

SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for helping develop and implement the Private Client DTC sales strategy
through private winery tastings and support of other DTC sales opportunities, including events and
off-site tastings. The Private Client Manager works to build and maintain long-term relationships
with referral sources (concierges, winery partners, restaurants, drivers, etc.), increase direct sales
to consumers, and establish a sustainable private client program to meet the company’s long-term
goals. The position works closely with other departments to enhance and elevate the Knights
Bridge Winery image to achieve prestige, growth, and profitability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Core Duties
-Set-up and host the guest experience at Knights Bridge Winery. Duties may include set up and
break down of the wine tasting experience. Additionally, host guests for a range of winery
experiences; duties may include setting up a barrel sampling, opening wine, and polishing
stemware.
-Process customer orders and track through to delivery to ensure a seamless guest experience,
including sending thank you notes and following up for future sales. Maintain current data in
Wine Direct and Salesforce on each guest to enable future sales.
-Customer service, emails, phone calls, and other duties as needed to ensure the highest guest
satisfaction; assist with general hospitality related administration.
-Conduct local outreach, networking and promotion of the private estate tasting experience as
well as set up, conduct and manage tasting appointments on the calendar. Maintain
appropriate contact with the guest before and after the visit through appointment
confirmations and thank you notes.
-Activate phone, text, and email sales campaigns, reaching out to current and past Knights Bridge
guests to offer current and library release wines.

Sales Management and Business Development
-Collaborate and coordinate with the Director of DTC Sales and VP of Sales and Marketing to
plan, revise, and implement sales strategies.
-Identify target consumers, referral accounts, and opportunities within the framework of the
overall company strategy, coordinating referral account assignments with the DTC Sales
Director and VP of Sales & Marketing.
-Develop and maintain high-level awareness of all market factors affecting Knights Bridge
through consumer contacts, field contacts, trade contacts, and review of appropriate
publications pertaining to luxury wine sales and luxury hospitality service.
-Develop market knowledge and conduct business in a manner consistent with all legal and
regulatory considerations pertaining to the activities of a winery representative.
-Maintain management control systems for planning, directing, and organizing sales and
relationship-building activities within referral network and Knights Bridge consumer database.
-Develop and maintain high level of personal call frequency to key customers to develop
programs and build relationships to maximize effectiveness by supplementing our retail tasting
efforts.
-Make and attend appointments, meetings and meet customer requirements as a
representative of Knights Bridge, reinforcing our quality and hospitality standards.
-In partnership with the VPS&M and Dir. of DTC Sales, develop and enhance the guest visit
experience at the Knights Bridge Winery in Knights Valley.
-Ensure that all legal stipulations regarding the operation and visitation of Knights Bridge
Winery are followed. Give proper notification to key personnel and owners before VIP visits;
ensure sufficient staffing, wine products and collateral materials.

Administration
Ensure all monthly reports are completed accurately and delivered before the 5 th business day
of each month.
