Riboli Family Wines is seeking a Senior Vineyard Technician to support our vineyards on the Central Coast. This is a permanent full-time position based out of Paso Robles. We are seeking a passionate individual who likes working in an interactive, positive and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to work within ambiguity and be a self-starter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Current duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.

Assist in all aspects of farming and development.
Maintains compliance of the various government agencies in wine grape growing. EG, CCOF, CSWA, EHS, etc.
Record keeping: Federal, State, County and local Compliance as well as pesticide use records, irrigation tracking, phenology date tracking
Plan & supervise scheduling, procurement of material and implementation of canopy management, pest & disease control, pruning practices, harvesting, spraying, and irrigation as needed
Supervise maintenance & contractors on Riboli Estate property’s
Attend & support Trade/ Consumer tastings and events
Follows and ensures Riboli Family Wines safety practices & compliance
Work closely with the vineyard manager, crew leads, and wine making team to ensure fruit quality and production goals are achieved
Data collection: Conducts weekly phenological tracking and pest scouting, seasonal crop estimates, fruit sampling, tissue and soil sampling and maintains historic database & crop estimates for vineyard blocks.
Data entry: all field data records logged and tracked through a central database


Minimum Qualifications:

5 years’ experience working in commercial vineyard, or equivalent degree in Viticulture
5 years’ experience with compliance, and understanding the various players in Wine grape growing. EG, CCOF, CSWA, EHS, etc.
Good written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish required.
Must have experience and working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
Experience in VinTrace a plus
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions
Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude.
Comfortable working with a high degree of ambiguity.
Strong organizational and planning skills and a solution orientated mindset.
Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow.
High-level of self-initiative, creativity, perseverance, and flexibility.
Ability to work long and irregular hours during peak periods, Weekends during the growing season
Must have a valid Driver’s license with clean driving record
