Tasting Room Associate

HOUSE OF SMITH is led by award-winning winemaker Charles Smith and is the 4th largest wine producer in Washington state. Founded in Walla Walla, Washington in 1999, our prolific portfolio of wine continues to receive broad recognition from leading wine publications.

If you are looking for part time work in a fun & positive environment, we want you to join our friendly team. We are currently looking for Tasting Room Associates, who are enthusiastic to learn more about the wine industry and our brands.

We have two tasting room locations in Walla Walla, WA:
House of Smith is located @ 35 S Spokane St
K Vintners is located @ 820 Mill Creek Road

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Welcome and engage all guests in a friendly, positive, and timely manner
•  Provide all guests with a fun and memorable experience
•  Sell wine in a professional manner
•  Offer and encourage wine club sign-ups to increase sales and build customer loyalty
•  Work behind the tasting room bar, pour wine, talk with guests, answer questions about wines, be able to give recommendations, work with registers, stock wine supplies, maintain restrooms, clean tables, wash glasses and sweep floors
•  Work on-site winery events
•  Maintain the appearance of the tasting room and patio
•  Continue to increase your knowledge of K-Vintners Wines
•  Perform other duties or related activities as assigned by tasting room management
•  Achieve sales goals
•  Handle sales transactions, fees, cash register, and accounting of daily sales

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Outstanding customer service
•  Positive, team-player
•  Sales-driven attitude
•  Must love interacting with all people and building relationships
•  Previous tasting room, serving or retail/restaurant sales experience
•  Must have the ability to multitask
•  Good communication skills
•  Computer literate in Microsoft Office and POS systems
•  Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings
•  Experience with Events preferred
Must have the legal right work to in the USA, and live within commuting distance to the Tasting Rooms.

Compensation:
Wage of $18/hr + tips
Commission bonuses
