Job Description:

A Maintenance Supervisor job in Napa, CA is available at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. In this role you will supervise maintenance personnel while providing on-site expertise, ensure work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, and verify the completion of daily condition based and preventive maintenance work.

Responsibilities

Leads and promotes a culture of Safety, GMP and EHS compliance.
Responsible for ensuring safety on all assignments in accordance with EHS guidelines and quality control standards.
Attend and lead daily start up meetings to set prioritization of work orders, completion status, safety topic and general communications.
Supervise, schedule, and provide daily direction to maintenance department personnel. Prioritizing and balancing the PMs, emergency work orders and general incoming work orders.
Develop and monitor work orders, establish priorities, and assign appropriate personnel to complete projected workflow while maintaining production standards for quantity and quality.
Collaborate with Customers in the Cellar, Grounds, Vineyard, and DTC for maintenance repairs, priorities, and supporting SLWC Operations.
Maintains department maintenance records, inspections, and updating WOs daily as needed- ensuring compliance records are maintained up to date.
Facilitates and encourages team/individual development and training opportunities.
Order parts for Work Orders or tools for team as needed.
Manages Maintenance Team time cards, leaves of absence, and scheduling.
Sets clear expectations and standards of accountability, crafting an environment where teams and individuals take ownership for their actions and results, both positive and those not meeting standard.


Qualifications

High School Diploma required, degree and/or graduation from a technical school preferred.
Must possess mechanical aptitude requiring knowledge or experience in the following areas: industrial refrigeration, juice process equipment repair, electrical trouble shooting, wastewater, potable water, refrigeration, steam boilers, building materials and maintenance, as well as welding and mechanical repairs of pumps, filters, temperature control systems and HVAC; lathe and mill work for in house repairs of essential equipment.
Demonstrated supervisory experience required.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a winery, food processing facility or similar environment involving the responsibilities as outlined above with two (2) years in a supervisory role.
Experience with a CMMS and work scheduling / planning.
Must have ability to work extended hours during harvest and peak periods to include periodic shift work.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong motivational abilities.
Computer literacy encompassing MS Office.
Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
Must be able to lift and or pull 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 80 lbs., and stand for long periods of time.
Work in all weather conditions, including but not limited to inclement weather such as rain, wind, cold and extreme heat.
