DeLille Cellars - Cellar Lead
Woodinville, WA
DeLille Cellars, an artisan winery located in Woodinville, Washington, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Cellar Lead. This position will provide an ideal learning environment for the aspiring winemaker, as the successful candidate will be exposed to numerous varietals sourced throughout the Columbia Valley and be exposed to a variety of winemaking techniques.
SUMMARY
• Performs all cellar operations and trains and supervises harvest and bottling personnel. Responsible for maintenance of tanks, equipment and barrels. Represent the brand when required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists in all aspects of winemaking; works long hours as required at harvest.
• Works under minimal supervision and within a team to perform and document all winery operations.
• Performs movement of barrels, dry goods and case goods via flatbed truck & forklifting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree or coursework in enology, viticulture or related degree program, and/or experience in winery cellar operations.
• Passion and commitment to winemaking and wine appreciation essential.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a hardworking and extraordinarily dedicated winemaking team.
• Forklift Experience
Physical Requirements:
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Climb a ladder to a height of at least (but not limited to) 20 feet
• Walk, bend and climb stairs without discomfort or impairment
• Stand for sustained periods of time
• Wear appropriate safety equipment as required by state and/or federal law
