Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Skilled Cellar Team Member for a multi-entity wine producer with production and agriculture experience. Capable of performing most team activities with minimal supervision. Regularly supervises others on assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
• Drive a forklift to transport 2 barrel & 4 barrel racks
• Follows all employee safety rules
• Maintain an excellent attendance and safety record
• Reads and & understands work orders, fills them in neatly, legibly & thoroughly
• Ensures that all equipment is operating in a safe manner
• Properly clean and sanitize pumps, hoses, tanks and cellar fittings before and after use
• Performs routine barrel maintenance
• Operates all types of pumps including centrifugal, positive displacement, air pumps and bull dog pumps
• Racks and fills barrels. Racks, transfers to and from tanks and to and from barrels
• Tops and stirs barrels; add SO2 gas & liquid to barrels
• Makes wine additions to tanks and barrels
• Set up and ensure that bulk wine tankers are ready to load and unload in a timely manner
• Loads and unloads barrel trucks, bulk wine trucks
• Conducts pump overs, rack & return procedures, and all other harvest duties
• Operates forklift safely and is forklift certified
• Works on bottling line dumping glass, packing or palletizing as needed (when necessary)
• Assists in the blending of tanks for final blend compositions
• Sanitizes, rinses and loads depth filters
• Sets up wine lines, pumps and fittings for wine transfers
• Cleans bins, floors and other equipment using pressure washer
• Cleans winery floors using a floor scrubber
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Set up filtrations and check integrity of the wine being filtered
• Amend additions and adjustments to juice and wine (double checking)
• Ability to work in small confined spaces and high places
• Ability to read, write and perform simple arithmetic
• Ability to work extended shifts; including night shifts during harvest
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ winery experience, (3 plus years preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
