Tasting Room Manager
The Bunnell Family Cellar is a small family winery located in Prosser; producing small lot premium wines with a focus on Rhône and Bordeaux varietals. Our Woodinville Tasting Room Manager works closely with the Wine Club Manager and Owners. The best candidate will have the ability and desire to work autonomously, while maintaining strong communication with the owners in Prosser. We believe strongly in adapting jobs to people strengths and interests; additional responsibilities will evolve as the candidate moves forward.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
•  General Opening/Closing duties
•  Hiring, Mentoring, and Training of staff
•  Schedule staff
•  Welcome guests in a warm and positive manner as they walk through the door
•  Provide guests with a memorable tasting experience
•  Pour and educate customers about the Bunnell Family wines
•  Develop rapport with guests to stimulate repeat visits and future sales
•  Promote the sale of wine and encourage customers to join the wine club
•  Accurately operate POS system
•  Order wine from storage to maintain inventory in tasting room
•  Order food supplies from wholesaler as needed
•  Prep and assemble cheese/charcuterie boards and other menu items
•  Create and implement winery events (5-6 per year) to include Wine Club release parties and special offerings
•  Coordinate participation and staffing of off-site events
•  Deliver wine to wholesale customers as needed
•  Promote winery with Social Media content
•  Manage coordination of wine shipments through FedEx
•  Order shipping and packaging supplies as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
•  Heart and Drive
•  Creativity
•  Previous winery and service experience
•  Strong communication skills
•  Ability to work independently a must
•  Ability to lead a team
•  Ability to watch and read the room to be sure all guests are promptly served and are enjoying their experience
•  At least 21 years of age
•  WA MAST permit and Food Handlers card
•  Ability to lift 45 lbs and stand for long hours
•  Able to work a web-based POS system (OrderPort experience a plus)
•  Available Fri, Sat, Sun, some evenings for winery and off-site events



EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
•  The Bunnell Family supports educational advancement for all employees. In regards to the WSET program, we pay 50% of the upfront cost of any course. Once the candidate has passed the course we will reimburse their 50% cost, and match that amount as a training bonus.

Salary Information:
$20 per hour plus commissions and tips
